The excitement for the 2018 World Cup is slowly starting to spark and many people are anxious to watch it.

Are you ready to watch the World Cup? I am!

The World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the senior men’s national teams of the members of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association). FIFA was founded in 1930. Ever since, the championship has been awarded every four years.

FIFA World Cup will be taking place in Russia this year from June 14-July 15. This will be the first time the World Cup will be held in Europe since the 2006 tournament in Germany. 32 national teams will be involved in the final tournament; however, only 20 will be making back-to-back appearances following the last tournament that took place in 2014.

A total of  64 games will have to be played in order to distinguish who the winner is. The final will be taking place on July 15 in the Luzhniki Stadium in the Russian capital, Moscow.

The winners will be awarded a golden trophy like the one depicted in the image above.

These 32 nations have been qualified to play at the World Cup:
