In the current society, college really seems to be the only resolution that high schoolers are given. Both parents and school staff tries to implant the thought of ‘you must go to college’ deep into their students’ mind, but what if you really don’t think college is the place for you to go? Well, joining a military branch can give new options and more opportunities. While joining the military is a good alternative to college, it can also help you with college as well.

It is widely known that going to college can profit benefits, ranging from knowledge and experiences to options and career paths; however, it isn’t as wonderful as it seems. There are obvious downsides to it – there are immense workloads and people may even be in debt after they finish.

Joining the military could be of interest to those who aren’t going to college and even those who are planning on going to college. The military offers many jobs in many different fields, outside of combat, paying from the day you enter boot camp to day you choose to leave. If you want to go to college the military can pay for you, offering many scholarships and opportunities to achieve your goals. But if you don’t feel that college is right for you, the military can still offer you a stable job with a good income, along with many new experiences that you would not have had other wise.

In the end the decision is your to make with the military and college both being suitable options. Whether you want to do both, just one, or even neither is up to you.

Lots of helpful tips about military that I did not know about. Gave me a thought about going to military if I feel as if I can’t make it to college.

Good stuff Henry. I have two friends that chose the military over college and they are having a blast over in their camps. Hopefully, you experience the same thing as well and wish you the best of luck.

“However college does have its down side the obvious being the workload you have to debt you could potentially have.” This sentence needs some fixing.
