What type of music are you into? Favorite Artist?

My favorite artists would be Bach, Aphex Twin, The Cure, Jane’s Addiction. I’m into classical, electronic, rock, experimental drone type stuff, jazz…a little bit of everything except rap.

Do you want to travel around the world some day?

Yes, I would love to!

What is the biggest accomplishment you’ve done?

Taking care of a baby without killing it.

Do you have a best and worst period?

My favorite period would be 3rd Period because I’ve known the students for 2 years and feel pretty close to them. I’m learning to love my 2nd Period.

Trying to make sense of things for students gives me a little bit of sanity. But only a little bit. ”

Do watch any particular sports? If so, which team do you watch?

I really don’t watch sports, but occasionally I like going to watch basketball games.

What college did you attend? What made you want to go there?

Boston University. I really wanted to study on the east coast, and Boston is an exciting city!

Do you have a favorite holiday?

I would say Halloween because, well…candy, goblins, and Michael Myers…I LOVE IT!

Are you reading any books at the moment?

Yeah, I’m reading Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene, 1968: The Year That Rocked the World by Mark Kurlansky, and also The Skin I’m In by Sharon G. Flake.

If you weren’t working as a teacher, where would you be at the moment? Why?

A mental institution. Trying to make sense of things for students gives me a little bit of sanity. But only a little bit.

Great article/interview piece! This was an interesting way to know more about our Journalism teacher! One thing I really liked was that your questions weren’t too cliche. There were interesting questions that I found very cool! Great job! 🙂

Being a white male in America, I was genuinely shocked to see you speaking your mind so bravely. Thank you for taking your child without killing it. You are doing your country a great service.

Wow, surprisingly he doesn’t spend all his time watching odd documentaries? These questions give us a fun new look at our journalism teacher.
