I have been in ASGL since 6th grade, watching teachers and friends leave as the years went by, but now I am the one leaving. It’s bittersweet having to leave. I hate the fact that I’m leaving so many of my friends behind, but I love the fact that I’m venturing out into the world. I’m going to cherish all the memories I have made with my ASGL family. I hope to stay in touch with as many of my friends and teachers as I can. Sometimes I wish I could stay, but that wouldn’t be appropriate. The only regret I have is that I didn’t enjoy myself to the fullest. Advice to upcoming seniors, have fun (still study though).

Ha! No, it wouldn’t be appropriate!

The struggle between “enjoying yourself” and “fulfilling duties” is a lifelong one. The lines will often be blurred. Embrace life’s paradoxes!
