After three months of waiting with numerous false promises, Robert F. Kennedy’s pool has been fixed!

According to the RFK’s Athletic Department the pool’s heater was repaired on April 4th of 2019, a day before League Finals.

Why did it take so long?

According to Mr. Nielson, ASGL’s assistant principal, the delay was due to two factors. First, the parts took a long time to arrive. Second, the swim team had to wait for the plumbers to install the heater. After the installation of the heater, everyone had to wait for the pool to heat up, a process that takes a few days.

Despite the official statement, not all swimmers are satisfied with this information.

Some swimmers think that this took so long because the swim team is low on the list of priorities for RFK team sports.

Erin Kim, a swimmer from the varsity girls swim team, said, “Unlike basketball or volleyball, I feel like swim isn’t really as much of a ‘cool’ sport to play at this school. I’m not sure why this is, but I know for a fact that swim isn’t regarded highly, and that is evident during the annual sports award banquet.”

Unfortunately, the pool got fixed a tad too late for RFK’s swim season, a day right before League Finals.
