With restaurants opening all over K-Town, we decided to go to the franchise known above them all, Buffalo Wild Wings. After our experience, we were disappointed with the service and the food was satisfactory.

When we walked in, the walls and ceilings were lined with dozens of TVs which all broadcasted various different sports. By coincidence, the FIFA Qualifiers were playing with Hondurans and Americans cheering for their favorite teams. With the loud booming soccer fans in the background, it reminded us of where we truly were, a sports pub, the wings being the snack to feast on during the tense game. To their credit, BWW did a fantastic job creating a place to watch any type of sport, whether alone or with friends cheering along with fans alike.

“Honey Mustard” flavored: The honey mustard definitely stuck out from the other flavors on the menu. Personally, as an avid honey mustard user, I was quite interested in trying out this item. When our group got all our food, this one got my attention first but with the first bite, I was severely disappointed. The mustard flavor wasn’t apparent at all in the chicken and tasted more like a sweeter BBQ flavor than anything. Subjectively, it wasn’t horrible, but if you’re looking for a Honey Mustard flavor, this isn’t what you are looking for. Rating: 6.8/10

“Spicy Garlic” flavored: This was one of their spicier flavors. The taste of vinegar, in the beginning, is very overpowering giving it a citrus-like taste. The addition of vinegar also enhances the taste of spice, which overpowers the taste of garlic. I recommended dipping this in blue cheese as it decreases the level of spiciness and adds a complex flavor of sharp/bitter and salty flavor. Ultimately, this isn’t really “Spicy garlic” as it did not have the garlic taste it is said to have and tasted more like vinegar and spice. Rating: 7/10

“Hot” flavored, boneless chicken: It was a unique type of “hot”. Many brands out there trying to put themselves on the table with a predictable taste that has no other defining qualities besides the heat. This, on the other hand, had the spices and flavor coinciding with the fiery burn that was felt throughout my mouth. One downfall of this particular sauce, was the consistency of the sauce as it was too thick, and it stuck onto my fingers very easily. All in all, it had a fairly good combination of both hotness and taste. Rating: 8.5/10 game (recommend dipping this in Ranch)

“Honey BBQ” flavored: The chicken contained a thin layer of thick sauce with a very strong but not very good flavor. The name suggested that the chicken had a sweet and tangy flavor but instead, it was a very plain taste that wasn’t all too enjoyable to eat. The sauce tasted like diluted BBQ sauce in spite of its thickness. However, the chicken by itself was tender and fine. 5.5/10

We were kind of surprised that Kevin, who ordered the least – 12 piece chicken, got his food last rather than getting it first. While the rest ordered 15 to 20 piece chicken and got it served earlier. He got his order served by the time everyone else was done eating half of their orders. Ironically, only a fistful of fries was given to Kevin for the price of $4. Overall, most of their boneless chicken was way too “breaded” and it isn’t all too crispy. The service in this specific chain is also quite slow despite its abnormally large amount of staff. We are really disappointed with the lack of attention and care the workers gave to their customers. By the time we were done eating, there was leftover chicken that no one wanted to take home.
