Daylight Saving Time is a significant part of the year. Why, you may think?

Well, Daylight Saving is not used everywhere around the world, only a few countries use this system of time such as the United States, most of Canada, United Kingdom, etc. In the United States, we usually change our clocks ahead on the second Sunday of March, then we change the time back 1 hour on the first Sunday of November. This 2017 Daylight saving started on March 12 and ended on November 5th as we set our clocks back an hour at 2 a.m. as daylight saving time ended.

Even though our country uses Daylight Saving, not everyone understands the process of it. People from other parts of the world may not understand why some countries use this system and its effects on “saving energy”?

Some people think that Daylight Saving Time saves energy, but that is a myth. Daylight Saving has been a tradition started by one of our founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin, in order to conserve energy.

Many people have different opinions about Daylight Saving. Loved by some, loathed by many, daylight saving time has ranging and often surprising implications. Some prefer having the clock set forward because people have more time to do errands throughout the day.

I believe that Daylight Saving is not safe because many students walk home from school and by 5 o’clock the sun has descended and it is dangerous for many students to walk alone in the dark. In some ways I think daylight saving has its benefits because it is important to conserve energy to help us keep more resources on earth longer. I think from power plants to cars, consuming energy can produce emissions that can harm our environment.

This is a very well thought and put together article the only problem is that the answer to why we have daylight saving times seem short and could be expanded on.
